Caviar itself is often misunderstood and while most people will have heard of it they probably do not specifically know what it is or how it should be used. Fish roe is processed and salted to make caviar and it has become famous as being a delicacy and something that those who are well off would eat however it is very acceptable for any occasion.
How do you serve the Caviar though and in what ways is it used?
The caviar itself should be refrigerated before you use it so do not leave it out in the open and each person should get around 30 to 50 grams. The fact that it is so expensive to buy and is a delicacy means that it should be taken in small quantities so as to savour the taste as many people do find that it can be quite strong tasting. One thing that people overlook is how the serve the actual caviar. Do not use silver utensils when serving up the dish because silver itself can drastically alter the way in which the caviar itself tastes and do not add any salt or pepper or any other spices for that matter as this will also change the way in which it tastes. Caviar should be taken in as pure a form as possible.
If you are having caviar at a party then a good suggestion would be to serve it with champagne as the two combine to bring about a very unique taste that would be great for any party. The fact is that caviar is a very acceptable delicacy in a whole range of situations and is enjoyed by a great number of people; you do not have to have it in a fancy gathering as it is a dish that can be used almost anywhere.
